We are seeking an ambitious and strategic individual to join our team in the Bay Area, Phoenix, or the Los Angeles area as a Manager on the Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Host team. This exciting opportunity requires excellent project management and analytical skills, strategic thinking abilities, prioritization skills and stakeholder management. While not required, knowledge of the vehicle financing and purchasing market is preferred.
You will work closely with and report to the Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships (Host) enabling the growth of our Small Business Hosts in the following areas – vehicle acquisition, vehicle financing, personal use insurance, fleet purchase programs and business management services. This ‘hands on’ pivotal role enables the candidate to experience and become a knowledgeable contributor in all facets of the business development process.
In partnering with the Director, this individual will be involved in the conceptual development of strategic solutions with appropriate lending, OEM and insurance partners. You will be heavily involved in the building and strengthening of complex relationships and assisting in the structuring and launching of pilot programs and future expansion with the successful pilot partners that will bring meaningful and long term solutions to our hosts.
This position will also be responsible for analyzing and reporting on all programs and partners by obtaining data from each partner and from the Turo platform.
What You’ll Do:
Become proficient in all Turo data platforms and systems
Collaborate on the development of solutions to overcome the barriers to profitable growth that our Hosts face
Perform potential partner analysis and vetting and assist in determining next steps with potential partners
Collect, analyze and manage all program and partner data
Prepare partner, department and company reporting
Prepare presentations for partners, department and executive meetings
Assist in partner program execution, management, measurement and growth
Maintain internal BD budget and work with finance on all financial reporting needs
Develop an understanding of:
Automotive commercial retail, leasing and floor plan lending
OEM sales, fleet and network operations
Dealership sales, fleet and finance and insurance departments
Insurance programs for Host fleets while not on the platform
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
4+ years of Business Development or Strategic Partnership experience
Automotive OEM Sales, Network and lending experience preferred
Peer to peer technology platforms understanding
Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides or Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
High level of attention to detail
Proven initiative and creativity
Excellent communication, presentation skills, and executive presence
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop positive and productive relationships

Analytical skill set, with meaningful experience defining, tracking and quantifying ROI of partnerships
