Senior Account Executive at Apollo

We’re in the early days of building our sales team at Apollo and are now hiring our first Account Execs. If you want to be on the forefront of building out a function using the invaluable knowledge you’ve gained in your career so far and make a significant impact, we’d love to have you here! We’re a rapidly growing startup backed by Andreessen Horowitz and already have customers like Expedia, Airbnb, Audi, SurveyMonkey, and more. As an AE at Apollo, you’ll follow up on leads and prospects currently evaluating our product, expand the business of self-service customers, and prospect and develop new accounts, all while building strong customer relationships rooted in empathetic communication and a superior customer experience. This position will give you a unique opportunity to grow your sales career directly under our Chief Sales Officer.

What You'll Do

    • You’ll leverage the 1,000,000 downloads per week of our open source products to develop new customers.
    • You’ll build new territories and vertical markets while you help define the go-to-market strategy with our execs.
    • You’ll own the entire sales process - prospecting for new business, cold calling, working with warm in-bound leads, and managing/closing deals with new and existing Apollo targets and customers in a geographic territory.
    • You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with enterprise field sales reps when seed deals could prosper into larger $150k+ sized opportunities.
    • You’ll learn the technical abilities of our product and present and articulate product features/value propositions to prospects to help them with the build vs. buy decision for GraphQL.

    • You thrive off of interacting and building relationships with others and view your selling as “teaching” or partnering with our customers - your goal is to make people aware of the value adds of our product and how it can help them.
    • You are comfortable selling technical products over the phone and consider yourself to be a strong customer advocate, always looking out for their best interests and finding solutions to their business needs.
    • You’ve got a strong attention to detail and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated track record at exceeding measurable bookings goals in a dynamic environment.
    • You’ve worked with with standard sales productivity tools (like e-mail, Salesforce.com, Google Suite, Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Web-conferencing, calendaring).
    • You’re open to occasional (but limited) travel: you may have some trade show/event participation travel.
