Sales Development Representative Lead at Apollo

Apollo is looking to start and quickly scale our Sales Development Representative team. As the first SDR at Apollo, you'll have the opportunity to help build the SDR function from the ground up. You will be one of the key members of the Sales team, implementing processes to capture our thousands of inbound leads, while actively reaching out to potential customers to share our value propositions. Each potential customer will be at a different stage in their GraphQL journey and you'll be playing the critical part of guiding them on a path on the next stage or milestone in the journey.

What You'll Do

  • You'll verify customer data, lead outreach and qualify prospects, educate potential customers on our product, and follow up with self-service trial users
  • You'll generate sales-accepted leads and opportunities for our Account Executives
  • You'll research accounts, identify top potential prospects, and generate interest through email campaigns, GraphQL events, and self-service inbound trials via Intercom
  • You'll collaborate with our marketing team to drive continuous improvement in lead quality, conversion rates, and pipeline generation
  • You'll coach, train, and mentor an SDR team that you get to hire

About You

  • You're excited at the idea about building a function from scratch and putting together a team
  • You have at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role in technology
  • You're comfortable working within Salesforce
  • You have an interest in management or have managed teams before
  • You thrive on working with external stakeholders and using empathetic communication to connect our product features to the challenges they're facing in adopting GraphQL as well as collaborating internally to resolve customer pain points
  • You enjoy continuously improving and reporting on lead metrics and strive to increase the overall sales pipeline quarter over quarter
